Reports from the weekends games:
EVN-SISU Yng landsdækkende
This game started out fast in SISU's favour as they built an early 14-1 lead. But the EVN boys fought themselves back into the game and were basically even at the half. In the second half, EVN showed the way and led by between 4 and 10 points. SISU managed to fight themselves back into the game with the help of 2 3- point shots that went in off of the back board. With the score tied and only 5 seconds to play, SISU was awarded to free throws... they scored the first and missed the second.... one last shot for EVN.... despite a strong drive up the court , that last shot would not go in for EVN today .... resulting in a 1 point loss.
Åbyhøj - EVN yng piger mestre
Games against Åbyhøj are always tough, so the girls knew that they would have to play well to be able to stay with the talented home team. We had a good start to the game where all the girls showed aggressiveness on defense which led to several steals and well executed fast break points at the other end. As well we showed a good understanding of where the ball should go on offense which provided several open shots and good positioning for offensive rebounding. We managed to take the lead after the first quarter by a few points and were able to build the lead to 15 at half time .... 22-37. In the third quarter we started out great, with the aggressive defense leading the way. In fact, Åbyhøj did not score a point until there was 1 minute left in the quarter and by then we were ahead by 30 points, 22-52. In the fourth quarter, we continued to play solid defense and ended up winning the game by 25 points. Lovisa led the way with 24 points while Sara had 22 points.... but the most impressive part of the game was the great team defense played by all of the girls.
